#3 Plattsburgh Hornets @ #2 Beekmantown Eagls January 14th 2026

Beekmantown's Iasia Mosley (23) with the contested layup over Plattsburgh's Amara Gorham as the Eagles get the overtime 43-36 victory. It would be a Section VII Class A Girls' Basketball playoff tilt from Beekmantown High School as the #2 Beekmantown Eagles would host the #3 Plattsburgh Hornets for the right to play for a sectional title against #1 Peru Nighthawks at Clinton Community College next weekend. The game would start well for the upset-minded Hornets, who jumped out to a 13-0 lead, but the Eagles would chip away, and the Hornets would have a 17-13 lead at the end of the quarter. The Eagles would keep coming in the second quarter and send the game to the intermission tied at 22 on a 9-5 quarter. When the teams returned for the third quarter, defense would be the name of the game, as the Eagles would take a 29-27 lead into the fourth quarter thanks to a 7-5 quarter. In the fourth quarter, the game would stay tight, and Ava Weiss for the Hornets would hit a three-pointer in the closing seconds to send the game to overtime tied at 33. In the end, the home Eagles would take control in the fourth quarter and get the 43-36 victory. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles go to 9-11 and will advance to the Section VII Class A finals against the Peru Nighthawks on the last game of championship weekend. Gallery

Mrrisville State Mustangs @ #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 21st 2026

Plattsburgh State's Riley Keller (2) with the bang in the open night to get the scoring started as they would get the 8-0 victory over the Mustangs. It would be the last regular-season game of the season. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Morrisville State Mustangs from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 400 fans The Cardinals would waste little time in taking control of the game as they would score three goals in the first 6 minutes of the game from Riley Keller, Sydnee Francis and Kate Conlon but the Mustangs would buckle down for the rest of the period and thats how it would end. The Cardinals would come again at the 8:19 mark of the second period, and Molly Riggi would score to extend the lead to 4-0. The Cardinals wouldn't rest, and they got one on the shorthand from Kate Conlon for the second of the game to make it 5-0 at the 14:31 mark of the period. Then, with 2:08 left in the period, the Cardinals would have their second three-goal period, thanks to Bailey MacKellar, for the 6-0 lead after tw In the third period, the Cardinals would add two more from Taya Balfour and Piper Smith as they secured the 8-0 victory and the #1 seed in the SUNYAC Women's Hockey tournament. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Maddy Stetson made 16 saves in the shutout win, as they finished the season at 18-6-2. Plattsburgh State Cardinals @ Canton Kangaroos February 21st, 2026

Canton's Tret Miller (29) with the pad save on Plattsburgh State's Ryan Callanan (17) as part of a 35-save night in a 2-1 victory. It would be the last game of the regular season at the Terry Martin Arena on the campus of SUNY Canton, as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Canton Kangaroos would battle for the fifth seed in the upcoming SUNYAC tournament in front of 300 fans. It would take tuntilthe 10:01 mark of the first period wforthe home Kangaroos wtoget the opening goal of the game from Logan Kelly,, and that would be the lone goal of the period The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at the 8:35 mark of the second period when Jake Sacratini scored on the power play,, and 'that's how the period would end. The game would go until the 11:06 mark of the third period, when Dylan Pollock would get his first career goal, and it would be the winner, as the Cardinals would not be able to get the equalizer down the stretch, and the Kangaroos would get the 2-1 win. In the winning effort, the Kangaroos Trey Miller would make 35 saves as they go to 12-12-1 on the season and will take on the Cortland State Red Dragons in the SUNYAC first round. Universel College Gatineau @ New York Dynamo February 20th 2026

New York's Elkhan Abibekov (16) with the off-balance marker to give the Dynamo the 2-0 lead at the time as they get the 5-3 victory at home against Gatineau. The New York Dynamo would start the last weekend of the regular season in the United States Premiere Hockey League St. Lawrence Division with a game against Universel College Gatineau at the American North Arena. The Dynamo would get the opening goal of the game at the 14:19 mark of the first period, with Maddox Heise scoring for a 1-0 lead. They would extend their lead to 2-0 just 54 seconds later when Elkhan Abibekov would slide it through the Gatineau netminder. Gatineau would get on the board with 1:13 left in the first when Nicolas Barnes would beat Landon Blaine on the glove to end the first period 2-1 Dynamo. The Dynamo would regain their two-goal lead at 3-1 when Tanner Hamilton gets it by a diving netminder at the 12:20 mark for the lone goal of the second period. Gatineau would strike quickly in the third period, just 36 seconds in, on the Hugo Berube goal to make it a one-goal game again at 3-2. The game would stay there until the 16:41 mark of the period, when Brock Spaulding would make it 4-2. Gatineau would keep coming and, for the third time on the night, make it a one-goal game with 1:07 left in the game on the Luca Godwin goal to make it 4-3. The Dynamo would ice the game when Tanner Hamilton would net his second of the game on the empty netter to secure the 5-3 victory. In the Dynamo's winning effort, forward Blaine made three saves. Saranac Spartans @ Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers February 19th 2026

Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Eli McCormick (21) slides it past Saranac's Carson Holland (29) for his second of the night in the 7-2 victory. It would be the battle of the Saranacs take two this time, with the meeting up in Saranac Lake, as the winner would get the third seed in the upcoming playoffs, and it would be senior night for the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers. The game would remain scoreless until the 14:54 mark of the first period, when the Lakers would strike from Oren Preston for a 1-0 lead, and that's where the first period would end. The Lakers would waste little time in the 2nd period, scoring just 50 seconds in on the Braden Harvey goal. Then, just under two minutes later, they stretched it to a 3-0 lead when Ayden McCormick scored, taking control of the game. Then, with just ten seconds left in the period, the Spartans would get on the board with the Robbie Squier goal and make it a 3-1 game at the end of the second. Then, as they would start the third, the Lakers would regain their three-goal lead at 4-1 on Eli McCormick as he squeezes it through the pads. The Spartans would once again make it a two-goal game at 4-2 when Ryan Campbell would score at the 8:35 mark of the period. The Lakers would have another just over two minutes later when Eli McCormick would get his second of the night for the 5-2 game. Then, with just over two minutes left in the game, Eli McCormick would get his hat trick on the empty net goal and make it 6-2. Then, with 1:30 left in the game, the Lakers put the finishing touches on it with a power-play goal from Braden Harvey, securing the 7-2 win. In the winning effort, the Lakers clinch the third seed in the playoffs, as Scottie Nicholas made 25 saves, and they go to 8-10-1 on the season. Northeastern Clinton Cougars Vs Saranac Spartans February 17th 2026

Saranac's Ryan Campbell (71) slides it past Northeastern Clinton's Greyson LaFountain (1) for the game winner with just 6 minutes left in the game. It would be Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action at the American North Arena, with the Saranacs battling for the third seed in the playoffs and avoiding the play-in game. In a very defensive game, the Cougars would break through for the opening goal at the 10:02 mark of the second period when Cobe LaFountain would light the lamp for a 1-0 lead. The Spartans would keep fighting, and Ryan Campbell would tie the game up with 49 seconds left in the second period. The game would stay tied, although both teams had their chances till the 10:30 mark of the second period, when Ryan Campbell would get his second goal of the game to give them the 2-1 lead, and from there, the netminder would do his job as the Spartans got the win. In the Spartans' winning effort, Carson Holland made 23 saves as they went to 7-11 on the season. Skidmore Thoroughbreds @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 13th 2026

Skidmore's Tommy Atkens(29) with one of his 45 saves on the night in the 3-2 Skidmore win. It would be the last regular-season home game for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they celebrate their 50th season, taking on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, in front of 1400 fans. The game would start well for the home Cardinals, as they would get a quick 1-0 lead just 1:08 into the game on Alexandro Moliner's goal. The lead would be short-lived, though, as the Thoroughbreeds would tie the game up at one just 14 seconds later on the Bryce Terry goal, and that's where the first period would end The Thoroughbreeds would take the 2-1 lead at the 12:47 mark of the Cooper Rice after the Cardinals' attempt to wrap the puck around the boards went terribly wrong when the puck bounced out front of an open net. He banged it home, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would answer quickly in the third period and tie the game at two on the Spencer Bellina goal just 1:58 into the period. The tie would be short-lived, though, as Skidmore would take the lead back just 2:20 later on Dylan Shane's goal. The Cardinals would give it everything they had down the stretch, but just had bad luck with the equalizer, and Skidmore would get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreeds, Tommy Aitken would make 45 saves as they go to 12-9-2 on the season. As for the Cardinals, Beau Lane would make 31 saves as they fall to 12-11 as both teams head into the final weekend of the season, as they travel to take on Potsdam and CantonGallery

Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers Vs Saranac Spartans February 12th 2026

Saranac's Ryan Campbell (71) with the wrister as part of a hat trick effort in the 7-6 victory. It would be the first of two battles of Saranac, as the Saranac Lake Lake Placid Lakers would meet the Saranac Spartans at the Ameri-Can North Sports Arena, as we near the end of the regular season. The upset-minded Spartans would get the opening goal of the game just 4:29 in from Ryan Campbell for the 1-0 lead. The Spartans would stay hot as they would add another from Brody Macomber to make it a 2-0 game nine minutes in. Then, at the 12:20 mark of the period, the Spartans took control of the game with an Elliott Batty goal, making it 3-0. The Lakers would answer right back 15 seconds later, breaking up the shutout with Braden Harvey's goal to make it 3-1, and that's where the first period would end. The game would stay there till the 6:44 mark of the second period when Ayden McCormick would score and make it a 3-2 game. The Spartans would answer back 90 seconds later on the Gabe Moore goal as they regained their two-goal lead at 4-2. Then, with just under 3:30 left in the period, Ryan Campbell would score on the power play and take control of the game again at 5-2. The Lakers would get the game back to two when Carver Bell would score with 1:26 left in the period and be 5-3 at the end of the second. Then at the 5:14 mark of the third period, the Spartans would regain their three-goal lead at 6-3 when Ryan Campbell would complete the hat trick. Although the Lakers would come back with two goals 44 seconds apart in the 6th minute of the third, Eli McCormick and Braden Harvey (second of the night) scored to make it a 6-5 game. Although the Spartans would keep coming, Killian Baker would score at the 10:45 mark of the period to make it 7-5. The Lakers would keep coming, and Ayden McCormick would get his second of the night to make it a 7-6 game with 3:39 left. The Lakers would keep firing on the night, but the comeback bid would come up just a bit short as the Spartans would get the 7-6 victory. In the winning effort, the Spartans would go to 6-11 on the season, while the Lakers fall to 7-10-1 Gallery.

Indian Lake/Long Lake Orange @ Seton Catholic Knights February 11th 2026

Indian Lake/Long Lake (1) with the deep jumper for the score as the Orange get the 30-26 victory. It would be the last home of the season for the Seton Catholic Knights as they would host the Indian Lake/Long Lake Orange in girls' basketball inside the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference, with playoff seeding on the line. The game would start slowly, with the Orange leading 8-2 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, defense would be the name of the game, as there would be a total of three baskets scored. The Knights would win the quarter 4-2, as the Orange had a 10-6 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Knights were hot, scoring 1 point and taking an 18-1 lead into the fourth. In that fourth quarter, the Orange would find their shot and nearly double their score in one quarter with a 14-8 quarter and get the 30-26 victory. Plattsburgh's Westen Studley (18) with the wrister that heads sends over the shoulder of Saranac's Teegan VanValkenburg (99) as the Hornets win 5-2. It would be the second meeting of the season between the pair that share the Ameri-can North Arena, the Plattsburgh Hornets and the Saranac Spartans in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. The Hornets would get the game going at the 4:31 mark of the first period on the Sam Bezio goal for the lone goal of the opening period. The game would stay there until the 5:29 mark of the second period, when Jacob Wheelin would extend their lead to 2-0, and that's where the second period would end. The Spartans would get on the board just 37 seconds into the third when Ryan Campbell would cut the deficit in half and make it a 2-1 game. Then, at the 10:52 mark of the third period, the Hornets would regain their two-goal lead at 3-1 on Colby Chase's power-play tally. The Spartans would have a quick answer just 53 seconds later when Elliot Batty would slip it by Hornets Owen Chapple and make it a one-goal game again at 3-2. Then just 90 seconds after, the Hornets would make it 2 goals again at 4-2 on the Cooper Hollad. Then, in the closing time of the game, the Hornets would add the empty netter from Alex Hanshaw to secure the 5-2 victory.
