It would be an interconference game as the Champlain Valley's Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Mountain Valley's Northern Adirondack Bobcats in Girl's Basketball action. The game would start off good for the visiting Bobcats as they just out to a 6 point lead after the first quarter with a 15-9 lead. In the second quarter, the home Hornets would do their best to keep the game close but the Bobcats win the quarter 13-9 and take a 28-18 lead into the locker room. The home Hornets would look too hot and cut into the Bobcats lead but their defense would be up to the challenge and have a 14-5 quarter and take a 42-23 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Bobcats would stay on the gas and pull away with a 17-7 quarter and win the game 59-30. In the winning effort, the Bobcats go to 2-0 in the early season while the Hornets fall to 1-3 at the start. Gallery.

It would be an inter-conference matchup as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Chazy Eagles in girls basketball action. The game would start off great for the home Hornets with a 23-8 first quarter. In the second quarter, the Eagles would start to find traction as the Hornets would have an 11-8 but the Hornets would take a 34-16 lead into the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Hornets would keep the foot on the gas and have a 14-9 third and take a 48-25 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would just be too much as they would but the game away with 16-3 quarter and get the 64-28. In the winning effort, the Hornets would get their first win of the season and rise their mark to 1-2 while Chazy Eagles fall to 1-3 on the season. Gallery.

It would be a matchup of winless opponents in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Girl's Basketball action as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Ticonderoga Sentinels. The game would start off good for the home hornets as they would jump out to the big lead after the first quarter at 17-6. In the second quarter, it would be a complete flip of the scrip as the Sentinels would get back into the game with a 13-3 quarter and only trail the Hornets by 1 at 20-19 at the half. When the teams returned for the second half they would play the third quarter rather tightly and the Hornets would increase their lead by the slimmest of margins at 8-6 to take a 28-25 lead into the final quarter. In the fourth quarter, the game would remain tight throughout and there would even be a couple of lead changes in the stanza. Although the Hornets would have enough in them to secure the 42-36 victory on the strength of a 14-11 quarter to get their first win of the season. The Hornets will look to continue their winning ways on Friday, March 19th as they travel to Clintonville and take on the Ausable Valley Patriots. Gallery

The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Potsdam Sandstoners in non league action. The game would see the Bulldogs pretty much control the game until the whole game until the fourth quarter when the Sandstoners would step up there full court defense. The Bulldogs would have the slim 9-6 lead after the first quarter. The Bulldogs would keep up the tempo as they would have a 23-17 lead at the break as they would win the quarter 14-11. Then when the teams came back for the third quarter the Bulldogs would win the quarter 13-7 and take a 36-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth the Sandstoners would step up there full court defense and force bulldogs into many turnovers and the Sandstoners would win the 17-11 but the Bulldogs would hold on to the 47-41 victory. In the winning effort Courtney Boyea and Mikalya Fleury would lead the way ten points each for the Bulldogs as the go to 6-1 on the season. Gallery

The game would be tight through the first quarter before the Huskies would cruise to a 63-35 win. The Huskies would have the slim 12-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Huskies would out score them 11-7 and take the 23-16 lead at the break. Then in the third quarter the Huskies would start to pull away as they would win the quarter 16-11 to take the 39-27 lead into the fourth. Then in the fourth the Huskies would step up the tempo and win the quarter 24-8 and get the 63-35. The game would be tied at nine after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Bulldogs would win it by the slightest margin 12-10 and take a 21-19 lead into the break. As the teams would come out for the second half the Shamrocks would win the third quarter 16-12 and have the 35-33 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter the Shamrocks would pull away as they would win the quarter 17-9 and get the 52-43 victory. The Bulldogs would strom there way out in the first quarter to 21-4 lead. Then in the second quarter it would be much of the same as they would take a 34-7 lead into the break. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same as the Bulldogs would cruise to a 51-12 victory. Leading the way for the Bulldogs Courtney Boyea would have 19 points.
