The Chateaugay Bulldogs pose for there team photo as they are named the 2014 Section X Class D Champion. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet up with the #2 Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in the Section X Class D Championship. The Bulldogs would make quick work in getting the straight-set victory in about 45 minutes. The scores of the three games would be 25-6 25-8 25-12. With the win, the Bulldogs win another Section X Class D Championship and go to 18-0 on the season. Elizabethtown/Westport Griffins would score midway thru the second half to defeat Keene Beavers 1-0 in nail biting Section VII Class D Semi-Finals. The Grifins now advance to the Finals taking on the winner of the Minerva-Newcomb/Chazy game at PHS. In the second half, Trevor Brooks(24) - E-Town/Westport - would score the loan goal of the game at 60:11 assisted by Isaiah Turner(3) as the Griffins would win 1-0. The Griffins had 13 shots, 7 saves, 5 corner kicks, 5 fouls, 0 offsides. The Beavers had 3 shots, 13 saves, 2 corner kicks, 9 fouls, 1 offsides and 1 yellow card for delay of game (60:43).

Maliankias Masonry would meet up with the West Side Saints. Masonry defense would be tops again this week and have a 14-0 lead at the half with the defense giving them short fields. In the second half, it would be more of the same and they would win the half 14-0 and secure the 28-0 win. The American Legion/SL Trucking would meet up with the Northeast Monsters in week 6 of the North Country Flag Football League. It would be a defensive battle in the first half and the American Legion would take the slim 6-0 lead at the break. In the second half, both teams offenses would walk up and American Legion would win the half 13-6 and secure the 19-6 victory. Saranac's Mason Martin (42) extends the ball out and over the line for the touchdown. The #2 Saranac Chiefs would host the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class C Semi-finals. These two evenly matched teams would be scoreless until the second quarter when Patriots Jimmy Kelly would score to make it 7-0 Patriots. The game would stay there until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter when Chiefs Mason Martin would score and they would get the two-point conversion and take an 8-7 lead. Then on the ensuing Patriots drive two questionable calls would lead to the Patriot's good field position and Jimmy Kelly would score from the one-yard line with 25 seconds left on the clock to give the Patriots 14-8 victory. In the winning effort, the Patriots advance to next week's championship game against Saranac Lake Chiefs while the Saranac Chiefs season comes to end at 2-6. Gallery

The Saranac Chiefs (JV) would host the Ausable Valley Patriots (JV) in the last JV game of the season. The Patriots would take the 6-0 lead after the first quarter and hold on till late in the second quarter when the Chiefs would get on the board with a Johnny Devins touchdown to tie it at 6 at halftime. When the teams would come back for the second the Patriots would come to play and score three scores to make it 28-6. In the fourth quarter, the teams would trade sores including the big catch in the endzone by Saranac's Brandon Velie for the score as he rips it from the defender's hand. In the end, though the Patriots would get the 34-12 victory and finish the undefeated season at 8-0 while the Chiefs finish at 0-8. Gallery.

Crown Point Lady Panthers would score in the final few minutes of the game to defeat Westport Lady Eagles 1-0 in nail biting Section VII Class D Quarterfinals. The Lady Panthers now advance to the Semifinals taking on the winner of the Willsboro/Chazy game. In the second half, Kayli Stone(1) - Crown Point - would score the lone goal of the game at 78:50 assisted by Hannah Palmer(13) as the Lady Panthers would win 1-0. The Lady Panthers had 16 shots, 7 saves, 9 corner kicks, 3 fouls, and 0 offsides. The Lady Eagles had 9 shots, 3 saves, 7 corner kicks, 3 fouls, and 2 offsides.

In the first half, Joel Morris(9) - Griffins - would score at 12:51 assisted by Isaiah Turner(3) to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead. Later on, in the half, Turner(3) would score at 16:32 assisted by Morris(9) to give the Griffins a 2-0 lead. NAC would get on the board by Cory Lafountain; the goal was unassisted to cut the lead to 2-1 but it wasn't enough as the Griffins would hold on and win 2-1. The Griffins had 17 shots, 8 saves, 15 corner kicks, 9 fouls, and 4 offsides. The Bobcats had 12 shots, 14 saves, 2 corner kicks, 8 fouls, and 2 offsides.

Westport Lady Eagles shut out Johnsburg Jaguars 3-0 in girls MVAC soccer. In the first half, Lizzie Stephens(15) - Westport - would score at 7:13 assisted by Chloe Mitchell(5) giving the Lady Eagles a 1-0 lead. Later on in the first, Taylor Gough(13) - Westport - would score at 27:15; the goal was unassisted giving the Lady Eagles 2-0 advantage. In the second half, Ellie Schwoebel(11) - Westport - scored at 49:19; the goal was also unassisted giving the Lady Eagles the 3-0 win.
