In the second period it would be more of the same the Eagles would score just one minute in from Brandon Buksa (2nd of the night to make it 6-1. Then in the 11th minute of the period the Eagles would score twice from Callum Sullivan and Syke Dominy to have an 8-1 lead after two. Malone's Trevor Coley (12) with the crunching hit along the end boards. The Malone Huskies would host the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Northern Athletic Conference action. The Icemen would get the games first tally 4:52 on Austin Cousineau's goal to make it 1-0 Icemen. Then at 6:49 mark of the period the Icemen would strike again on Kaden Pickerings' powerplay goal to make it 2-0. Then at 11:56 of the first Kyler Head would score for the Huskies to cut the lead in half at 2-1. The Icemen would answer back though before the period ended to make it 3-1 Icemen at the end of the first. The Icemen would extend the lead to 4-1 on Colby Munson's power-play goal at 7:17 of the second. Then just 30 seconds later Huskies Josh Trombley would keep them within two at 4-2. Then just 30 seconds into the third period the Icemen would extend the lead to 5-2 Colby Munson's second goal of the night. Then at 7:44 Autin Cousineau would get his second of the night to make it 6-2. The Huskies would fight till the end and get a late goal by Jake Henning but the Huskies would fall 6-3. The Malone Huskies would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils to get the Section X Hockey season underway. The game would remain scoreless all the way till the third period when Malone's Jake Henning would get the game's first goal at 1:10 to give the Huskies 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 11th minute of the third when the Blue Devils would tie it up on Jon Taylor's goal. The Huskies would keep scraping though and get the game-winner with just over two minutes left when Bailey Conklin would score on the breakaway to give the Huskies the 2-1 win. Then at the 10:35 mark of the second period, the Hornets would score again to make it 3-0 this time on Robbie Knowles's goal. That would end the scoring as the Hornets would get the 3-0 win. The Cougars would get on the broad 30 seconds in and we're off and running on the Alex Duffy goal to make it 1-0. The Cougars would strike again at 3:46 on Jordan Lamere's goal to make it 2-0. That is where the game would remain until 21 seconds left in the second period when Tanner Studlack would score on the power play for the Huskies to make it 2-1 Cougars going into the third period. Then just 2:51 into the third Nick Palmer would score for the Cougars to make it 3-1. Then at 6:12, the Cougars get another goal this time from Dayton Roberts to make it 4-1. The Cougars would add one more at 15:18 to end the scoring with Justin Rabbideau's goal to give the Cougars the 5-1 victory. In the winning effort, Cody Young would stop 16 of 17 shots while Brandon Powers for the Huskies would stop 19 of 24. With the win, the Cougars will go to 8-7 as the Huskies fall to 8-8-1. Gallery
