It would be playoff time at Plattsburgh High School as the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Beekmantown Eagles in the Section VII Class A Semi-Finals, with the winner getting the right to play #1 Peru Nighthawks in the Class A Championship at Clinton Community College. It would be a tight defensive battle, and the Eagles would have a slim 12-11 lead after the first 8 minutes. In the second quarter, the Eagles would find their stroke and take charge, 14-8, and lead 26-19 at intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Hornets came out buzzing, went 12-5, and took a 33-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the offense would be hitting on all eight cylinders, as the Hornets would score 25-11 and cruise to a 56-42 victory. In the winning effort, the Hornets go to 7-12 on the season as they head into the Section VII Class A Championship against the #1 Peru Night Hawks, as the Beekmantown Eagles' season would come to an end at 5-12.
