It would be the last game of the regular season at the Terry Martin Arena on the campus of SUNY Canton, as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Canton Kangaroos would battle for the fifth seed in the upcoming SUNYAC tournament in front of 300 fans. It would take tuntilthe 10:01 mark of the first period wforthe home Kangaroos wtoget the opening goal of the game from Logan Kelly,, and that would be the lone goal of the period The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at the 8:35 mark of the second period when Jake Sacratini scored on the power play,, and 'that's how the period would end. The game would go until the 11:06 mark of the third period, when Dylan Pollock would get his first career goal, and it would be the winner, as the Cardinals would not be able to get the equalizer down the stretch, and the Kangaroos would get the 2-1 win. In the winning effort, the Kangaroos Trey Miller would make 35 saves as they go to 12-12-1 on the season and will take on the Cortland State Red Dragons in the SUNYAC first round. While Plattsburgh State's Beau Lane makes 18 saves as they fall to 13-12 on the season,n and will get the Skidmore Thoroughbreds. Gallery

Canton's Alexander Colton (17) scored the first-period goal to give the Kangaroos a 1-0 lead. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home for the first time in a couple of weeks, and they would host North Country for the Canton Kangaroos in SUNYAC action in front of 1269 fans at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. The upset-minded Kangaroos would get the first goal of the game from Colton Alexander on the power play at the 15:03 mark of the period. The Kangaroos would waste little time in extending their lead to 2-0 on the Scott Cremen goal just two minutes later to make it 2-0. The game would stay there all the way to the 3:51 mark of the third period when Jake Sacratini would score for the Cardinals and make it a 2-1 game. From there, the Cardinals would give them everything they had for the rest of the period, going for the tying goal, but it wouldn't come, and the Kangaroos would get the empty-netter in the closing minute from Alexander Colton as they secured the 3-1 win. In the winning effort, Trey Miller made 43 saves as they went to 6-8 on the season. As the Cardinals would combine for 22 saves, they fall to 7-8-1 on the season. It would be a north country battle inside the SUNYAC Conference as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Canton Kangaroos from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 1200 fans. There would be no scoring in the first period as defense would be the name of the game, as the teams would combine for 15 shots in the period. In the second period, the Kangaroos would break through and get the opening goal at the 6:15 mark,ewhichewascKinnon would score and anchor 1-0. The Kangaroos would keep coming, adding a shorthanded goal at the 11:19 mark of the period when Jackson Drysdale would light the lamp and make it a 2-0 game. In the third period, the Cardinals would have their best offensive period of the night as they would have nine shots on the net and pull the goalie with about three minutes left in the net, but they would not be able to find the back of the net on this day. The Canton Kangaroos would pull off the 2-0 upset on the evening as Nate Hopkins would make 23 saves in a shutout victory as they go to 6-12-1 on the season and take on neighbor the Potsdam State Bears tomorrow night. As for the Cardinals, they will fall to 10-8-1 on the season as Jacob Hearne makes 24 saves, not the night, and they will be back in action tomorrow night as they take on rival Oswego State. Gallery
