It would be the second game of the Cardinals' weekend homestand with Western New York as they would take on the Fredonia State Blue Devils in front of nearly 1300 fans at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The Cardinals would get off to a quick start, scoring just 21 seconds into the game, thanks to Gabriel Filion. The game would stay there all the way til the 8:51 mark of the second period when the Blue Devils would tie the game at one on the Mathieu Fournier goal. The Cardinals would answer right back two minutes later and regain the lead at 2-1 on the Colin Callahan goal. Then,n at the 16:14 mark of the second period, they would extend their lead to 3-1 when Shane Bondy would light the lamp. The Blue Devils would answer back just 43 seconds into the third period when Luke Morris would score to make it a 3-2 game. The Blue Devils would keep fighting and get the equalizer with just 33 seconds left in the game when Owen Cross would score to force overtime. However, the Cardinals would get the last one with just ten seconds left in the extra frame, when Quinn Tavares would send the fans home happy with the 4-3 win In the winning effort as Beau Lane would make 28 saves as they go to 12-10 on the season as they head into there final home game of the season against the Skidmore Mustangs. It would be the final game of the regular season from Memorial Hall, and see the Plattsburgh State Cardinals host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC and play in front of 550 fans. It would be a scoring, fast-paced game from the opening tip that would see the Cardinals jump out to a 19-4 lead to start the game before the Blue Devils would start coming back, and the Cardinals would have the 50-43 lead at the intermission When the teams returned for the second half the pace of the game would only get faster as both teams would have over 50 points in the half with the Cardinals winning the half 66-52 and secure the 116-95 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Kareem Welch would lead the way with 25 points as they go to 14-11 in the season and will host the Morrisville State Mustangs in the first round on Tuesday evening. The game would start with the Blue Devils as they would race out to a 21-12 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would start taking control of the game as they would have an even quarter at 14-14 but still trail 35-26 at the break. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Cardinals would start taking control of the game with an 18-11 quarter but still trailed 46-44 as they entered the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the defense would be the game's name for the Cardinals as they would hold the Blue Devils to three points while scoring nine to secure the 53-49 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, they would go to 14-11 on the season, and Julia Creek would lead the way with 12 points, but it would not be enough to get the home first-round game as they will go on the road to play the Canton Kangaroos. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils as they battle it out to get a playoff spot in the SUNYAC Tournament in front of 1200 fans. The road Blue Devils would look to spoil the Cardinal's chances at the playoffs as they would get the game's opening goal at the 9:17 mark of the first period when Sam Chrenka would score to make it 1-0. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game up at the 12:33 mark of the period when Kevin Weaver Vitale would find the back of the net for the powerplay goal, and the first period would end tied at one. The Blue Devils would retake the lead at the 11:14 mark of the second period when Gavin Bloder would find the net and give them the 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would keep coming and tie the game again with 40 seconds left in the period on Tyler Ramm's goal, and the teams would go into the break tied at two. Then, the Blue Devils would regain the lead for the third time. Gavin Bloder would score at the 4:55 mark of the period on the power play to make it a 3-2 game. Plattsburgh State's Tristan Laundree (2) splits a pair of Fredonia midfielders as he goes on the attack for his second goal of the game. The #17 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would open up conference play at home against the Fredonia State Blue Devils on homecoming weekend with 200 fans in attendance. The home Cardinals would get the opening goal of the match in the 16th minute from John Hayes his eighth of the season to make it a 1-0 game. Then just four minutes later in the 20th minute the Cardinals would expand on the lead and make it a 2-0 game on Tristan Laundree's third of the season and that's where the game would stay til the teams entered the half. When the teams returned for the second half the Blue Devils would come out on fire and get on the board in the 51st minute on Frederick Butler's second goal of the season. From there though the Cardinals' defense would be in shutdown mode and they would hold on for the 2-1 victory. In the winning effort, the Cardinals goalkeeper would make 2 saves as they stayed undefeated at 6-0-2.
