Shane Pecore (0) and Brogan Roberts (50) battle for the lead as they dive into the corner of the JS Steel Sportsman Modified event that would see Pecore get the win that afternoon. After Mother Nature wouldn't cooperate the first couple of weeks, it would take three on the opening racing of the 2026 Season from the Airborne Park Speedway. It would be the third annual Leon Gonyo Memorial 40, with $4,000 going to the winner of the 358 Modified race, along with $1,000 going to the winner of the JS Steel Sportsman Modified. Other classes in action on the day were the Renegades Limited Sportsman Modified, Mini Stocks, and Crown Vics. After all the heat races were done the first main out of the box would be the Crown Vics for there 20 lap affair would see Richie Turner take the lead off the start of the race and would let up on lead and take it green to checkered for the win he would have a challenge though from Trevor Jaques but he would not be able to get around the former Renegade champion. Scott Richner would round out the top three. Then we would have the 30 JS Steel Sportsman Modified, with the cool $1,000 going to the race winner. It would see Travis Bruno get the lead off the start of the race, and he would be under fire early from Nick Heywood. Still, with a mid-race caution, it would rerake the deck to come down the stretch, and it would see Shane Pecore blast to the lead around Heywood and Bruno, and that would be enough to get the win and take the $1,000 back north of the broader, and Nick Heywood and Travis Bruno would round out the top three. Then it would be time for the main event of the evening with 358 Modifieds going 40 laps for $4,000 to the winner. It would see Tim Fuller get the lead off the start of the race, and for the early part of the race, Louie Jackson would challenge him for the win, but there would be some movers in the middle of the field with last year's champion, Mike Mahanney, and Billy Dunn coming up and throwing their hand into the mix. There would be a restart with about five laps to go, with Fuller, Roy, Mahaney, and Dunn in the front two rows as they go after the win. It would be Felix Roy who would get around them all and take it line for the win and collect the $4,000 check, as Billy Dunn and Mike Mahaney would round out the top three. Then it would be time for the Limited Sportsman Modified 20-lap event, and it would see an early duel between Brogan Roberts and Gary English for the lead. Roberts would start pulling away some, but a hard charger like David Johnson would come up to battle for the win, and in the closing laps, he would get around Roberts for the win. Then it would be the Mini Stocks for the 15-lap race, and the battle for the whole race would be between two racers in the likes of Jacob Fountain and Kenny Tourville that would see them swap the lead back and forth a few times, and in the end, Kenny Tourville would get to the line first for the win. Then it would be time for the final race of the opening night of racing. It would be the Renegades for 20 laps, as an opening-lap crash would see a couple of major players from last season get damaged, and then, off the restart, Tylor Terry would get the lead. Still, he would have a battle with Billy Thwaits, and Thwaits would get the lead and not give up for the first win of the season. Jenna Zakrweski (727), Gage Provencher (11a), Alex Reed (81), and Tyler Whittemore (21) as they all battle for the spot off of turn 2 in the second segment of the Mini Sprints feature. It would be the second day of championship weekend from the Airbone Park Speedway and the last day of racing for the 2025 season, and the main event of the day would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified 50-lap event for the $5,000 to win, and it would bring out some of the best in the area with 33 cars in the pits. Other divisions racing on this last race day would be the Crown Vics, 500cc Mini Sprints, Mini Stocks for $500 to win, Pro Stocks, and 9th State Cannabias Renegades. After all the heat racing and last-chance qualifiers were done, it was on to the features for the last time. First, the second segment of the 500cc Mini Sprints would be the second segment, and the winner of the second segment would be Gage Provencher. However, the overall winner was Scott Bachand, who was crowned despite finishing third in the second segment. Then it would be the Crown Vics for the second feature of the weekend, and once again, it would be a showdown between Eric Friend and Richie Turner, with Turner getting the victory this time, as they split on the weekend. Then we would have the 9th State Cannabias Renegades for the second feature. Codey Benoit would get the lead at the start of the race. Still, teammate Billy Thwaits, along with Tylor Terry, would come up charging from the back and battle for the lead. In the end, Billy Thwaits would get the win on the night and sweep the weekend. Although with his second-place finish in the feature, Tylor Terry would be crowned the 2025 track champion. Then we would see the Pro Stocks out there for their 20-lap main event, and it would be a battle up front between Marc Lalonde and Denis Gauvrea. On this day, Lalonde would get the win in one of his last races in his long career. Then we would have the Mini Stocks in their 25-lap event for the $500 first-place check, and Kenny Tourville would take the lead off the start of the event, but it would be short-lived as CJ LaVair would pass him for the lead. Although there would be chargers coming from mid-pack, in the likes of Sebastien Beauguard, and the three would put on a great race for the crowd, but in the end, Beauguard wouJld get the win and the $ 500 first-place check Then it would be the main event of the day and final race of the 2025 season as the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified would battle for 50 laps and the $5,000 first place check. It would be to see Michael Wright get the lead off the start of the race, although it would be short-lived as Donovan Lussier would get around him and take the lead, and there would be a battle between him and Jamy Begor for a bit as they went after the lead. Then there would be another challenger, such as Travis Brunobut. In the end, Donovan Lussier would get the win. In his winning effort, he would also be crowned the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified champion for the second straight year, beating out Travis Bruno by just 8 points in the championship. Gallery

Evan Roberts (50x) with the pass on the highside of Chris Cayea (18) for the lead in the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified non-winners event, and Roberts would get the win in the end. It would be the start of championship weekend from the Airborne Park Speedway to finish the 2025 season and the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, Hoosier Limited Sportsman Modified, 500cc Mini Sprints, Mini Stocks, 9th State Cannabias Renegades, Crown Vics, and Enduro. After all the heat racing was done, it was on to the features for the day. The first event out of the box would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified non-winners event, a 25-lap race. Chris Cayea would take the lead off the start and would establish a good-sized lead on the field. However, there would still be a challenge coming from the likes of Evan Roibert, and in the closing lap, he would chase him down, take the lead, and get the eventual win. Then it would be the first segment of the 500cc Mini Sprints event, and it would see Gage Provencher get the lead off the start, but Scott Bachand would challenge him in the 15-lap event, and Bachand would get the first stage win, and they would settle the overall winner on Sunday in the 15-lap segment two. Then it would be on to the Crown Vics in their 15-lap event, and it would see a great battle up front for the early point of the event between Eric Friend and Richie Turner. Friend would take control of the race when Turner would find the turn four wall, but they will be back at it again Sunday to finish off the doubleheader. Hen would have the last Hoosier Limited Sportsman Modified feature of the season for 25 laps a. Itould see Adam LaFountain get the lead off the start of race and get a huge lead going Brogan Roberts would do his best to try and make it close but just had no answer also on the day Kobe Hernandez would be crowned the 2025 Hoosier Limited Sportsman Modified track champion as he would win the title by 83 over Parker Dermody. Then the 9th State Cannabias Renegades would take center stage for their first of two features on the weekend, and Tyler Irwin would get the lead off the start of the race. Still, he would be quickly challenged by Billy Thwaits for the lead, and he would hold on to get his first win of the season and all but lock up the title for Tylor Terry. As long as he shows up on Sunday, he will be crowned the 2025 track champion. Then it would be the Mini Stocks in their 20-lap event, and Josh Laporte would take the lead at the start of the race. Still, he would have challengers coming after a few quick cautions in the race that would re-rack the field, and Ryan Senecal would get around him for the lead. Still, Senecal would have a challenge down the stretch in the likes of Speedy Bressette, but would get the win and also be crowned the 2025 Mini Stock track champion. Then, to finish off the day of racing would be the 50-lap enduro, which would see Bobby Hamel take the lead at the start and hold it until about the halfway point, when Walter Scram would pass him for the victory, ahead of Randy Martin and Beau Reeves. Gary English (53) and Parker Dermody (10) battle for the lead through turns 1 and 2, which would see English make the pass late for the win. It would be the 15th race of the 2025 season from the Airborne Park Speedway as we would start the last month of the season with a bang as the Canadian Big Block Series in there 5th season would make there first ever appeance to the track and $5,000 would be on the line for the winner and a championship as it would be there last race of the season series, Along with the Big Blocks, the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, Pro Stocks, 9th State Cannabias Renegades, Crown Vics, Hoosier Limited Sportsman Modified, and Mini Stocks were all in acton. After the heat races, it would be onto the features for the night, and the first one out of the box would be the Hoosier Limited Sportsman Modified for 20 laps, and Parker Dermody would get off to the lead off the start of the race. Still, Gary English would be on the chase from his 4th place starting spot, and the two of them would duke it out for the win, and Gary English would get the win on a pass in the closing laps. Then we would have the 9th State Cannabias Renegades for 25 laps, and eleven cars would take the green, with Billy Thwaits taking the lead off the start. Still, the man who would be dominating the season would be coming as Tylor Terry would get around for the lead and claim his 9th race win of the season. Then it would be time for the big show as the Canadian Big Block Series would take the track for their 775-l75-lape event. Zero cars would take the green flag to the big payday. Jack Speshock would get the lead off the start of the race with an early challenge from Jackson Gill for the lead, and then he would start to pull away. Still, there would be a charge coming from the middle of the pack in the likes of Felix Roy and Tim Fuller, and around lap, Felix Roy would get around Speshock for the lead, and Fuller would keep coming and eventually battle Roy for the lead in the closing laps. There would be a pair of green and white checkers to finish the race, and Felix Roy would get the win over Fuller and Gill and also claim the championship in the series. Then it would be on to the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, and 27 cars would take the green in the 25-lap race. It would see Fire Swamp get the lead at the start of the race. Still, it would be in hot pursuit early from Jamy Begor as he was trying for his first win in a couple of seasons, but Fire would slowly keep pulling away. Still, there would be another challenger coming late in the race as Michawl Wright would be looking for his second win in three weeks, but in the end, Fire Swamp would hold on for the win. Then we would have the Pro Stocks, with ten cars taking the green as they chase the $ 1,000-to-win purse. It would see Zack Daniels get the lead off the start of the race, but he would have a challenger the whole night in the likes of last year's track champion, Marc Lalonde, but Daniels would hold on to get his second win of the season at Airborne Park Speedway. Then the Crown Vics would come to the track as seven would be in attendance as they race for 15 laps, and Eric Friend would get the lead of the start, but he would have to deal with former Renegades champion Richie Turner, and halfway through, Turner would get around him for the lead and then hold on for the win. Then the last race of the night would be Mini Stocks. It would see Randy Martin get the lead at the start of the race and get out to a big lead, but Tyler Bell would keep chipping away at the difference, and then in the last corner of the last lap, Martin would slide off the track in three, and Tyler Bell would go around him for the win. Gavin Fleury (413) would capture his first career victory in the Hoosier Novice Sportsman Modifieds in just his third ever start. It would be the second day of the Vermont 200 weekend from the Devil's Bowl Speedway, and there would be another five divisions in action, along with the big go, the 10,000 to win Sportsman Modified. The other divisions in action that day were the Hoosier Novice Sportsman Modifieds, Fisher Auto Parts Mini Stocks, Friend Construction Mini Sprints, and the Renegades. The first feature on the second day of the Fabian Vermont 200 would be the Hoosier Novice Sportsman Modifieds with their 20-lap feature. It would see 16 cars take the green flag. It would see Gavin Fleury jump out to the lead at the start of the race and have a battle with James Mclellan for the first part of the race, but in the late stages, Rob Steves would do his best to get around Fleury for the win. Still, in the end, Gavin Fleury would lead all 20 laps for his first career victory in just his third ever race. Then it would be the Friend Construction 500cc Mini Sprints that would have a three-segment event on the weekend to decide their winner, and Quinn Quenneville would take the win on Saturday in segment 1. hen on Sunday they would run the second and third stage and Destin St. Clair would get the second stage and it would be interesting coming to the third and final stage as there would be a four way tie at the top to decide it. The winner of the third stage would be Tyler Whittemore. Still, by virtue of a second-place finish, Gage Provencher secured the overall win, scoring points due to a fifth-place finish in the first segment, a third-place finish in the second segment, and a second-place finish in the last segment. Then, making only their second appearance at the Devil's Bowl Speedway, the Renegades would battle it out, and Josh Bussino would lead the race wire to wire for the win. Still, all the excitement would come in victory lane when he would propose to his long-term girlfriend, and she said yes. Then we would have the Fisher Auto Parts Mini Stocks for their 15 lap event, and Kyle Jordan would take the lead at the start of the race and hold it to around the mid point of the event when Brian Blake would get around him for the lead, and the battle would be on between him and Chris Charboneau for the win. Brian Blake would be the eventual winner. Then it would be time for the one we had been waiting for all weekend, as it would be the running of the 8th Fabian Vermont 200 for the Sunoco Sportsman Modified. The question coming into the race would be: would anyone have anything for Matt Janczuk, as he had won the last two? There would be 69 cars entering the event for their shot at the $10,000 prize. We would be taking 38 to the main event, so qualifying would be intense throughout the day, starting with Time Trails. With that being the case, everyone would be after the fastest time in Time Trails. Matt Janczuk would set the fastest time with a 19.125 and take the $200 bonus from Bill McGaffin Photography. Then it would be on to the heats, and we would take the top three from the six heats to the main event. The rest would be headed to the Consis, and the winners of the heats would be Matt Janczuk, Jim Nagle, Brent Warren, Dave Camara, Kevin Chafee, and Derrick McGrew Jr. Then, there would be three Consis. We would take the top 4 to give us 30 for the main event, but the rest would have one more chance to get in the big show through one of the two B Mains. However, the winners of the Consolations would be Cody McPherson, Payton Talbot, and Marty Kelly III. Then it woud be onto the B Mains where the remaining 39 cars would be split in to two B Mains where the top 2 would make the show giving us 34 cars in the main and transfering from them would be Tanner Siemons Nick Heywood, Tony Finch and Max Dolliver and there would be four provisions handed out to Gary English, Vince Quenneville, Adam Piper and Nick Zielinski. Then we would finally have our 38 cars for the Fabian Vermont 200, and it would see Donovan Lussier get the lead off the start. Aj Munger would stick his nose in there and lead a couple of laps, but Donovan Lussier would take most of the first half of the event. Although Brian Calabrese would challenge him, he would also lead for a significant portion of the event. Then there would be a challenge from Matt Janczuk, and Lussier would hold him off until he meets an opponent's tire, and Janczuk would take the lead. Over the last thirty or so laps, there would be a challenge from Payton Talbot, as he was looking for the double after winning the 358 Modifieds the day before. However, in the end, Matt Janczuk would hold on and take home his third straight Fabian Vermont 200. The $10,000 rounding out the field would be Payton Talbot and Cody McPherson. Although the season is not yet over at the Devil's Bowl Speedway, they will be back in action next Saturday, September 6th, with Hertige Family Credit Union Night. Gallery
