Beekmantown's Mason Carter (12) wrist it by the Byram Hills netminder to make it 2-0 Eagles game at the time, but they would eventually fall 5-2. It would be the first of two semifinals in the NYSPHSAA Division II Boys' Hockey Championships, featuring the #2 Bryam Hills Bobcats from Section I and the #4 Beekmantown Eagles from Section VII. The Eagles would jump out to a 1-0 lead just 3:03 into the game on a Pryce Parker goal. The Eagles would keep it going and make it a 2-0 game on the Mason Carter goal at the 8:50 mark of the first period. The Bobcats would answer right back, though, and make it a 2-1 game 49 seconds later on the Andrey Pytel goal, and that's how the first period would come to an end. The game would stay there until the 14:23 mark of the second period, when the Bobcats would tie the game at two on an Andrew Tymus goal, the lone goal of the second period. The Bobcats would get their first lead of the game at the 8:58 mark of the third period on Kai Licznerski's power play goal to make it a 3-2 game. The Northville Falcons would be crowned the 2024 NYSPHSAA Class D Girl's Basketball Northern Regional champion with the 60-30 victory over the Boquet Valley Griffins. It would be the third game on the day at the Clinton Community College Forrence Gym on Regional Final Saturday in front of another packed crowd this time we would see the #2 Northville Falcons from Section II taking on the host #13 Boquet Valley Griffins from Section VII. The game would start well for the Northville Falcons as they got out to the quick lead on the Griffins they would double them up after the first quarter at 14-7. In the second quarter, the Falcons would show why they are the number 2 team in the state as they would take control of the game with a 22-7 quarter and take a 36-14 lead into the halftime break. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Griffins would do their best to stay with the Falcons but they would have no answer as the Falcons have a 12-10 quarter and take the 48-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter with the outcome of the game pretty much done with the Falcons would let up out there and still have a 12-6 quarter and secure the 60-30 victory to punch their ticket to the Hudson Valley Community College and NYSPHSAA Class D Final Four next weekend. In the winning effort for Northville Falcons, Hailey Monroe would lead the way with 29 points as they go to 20-3 on the season. The #3 ranked Duanesburg Eagles are crowned the 2024 NYSPHSAA Girl's Basketball Northern Regional Class C Champions with a 51-29 win over #25 Moriah Vikings. It would be the quarterfinals of the NYSPHSAA Girl's Basketball Class C Championship and it would be a battle of the top 25 teams as the #3 Duanesburg Eagles would travel up to Clinton Community College and take on the #25 Moriah Vikings from the host section VII. The upset-looking Vikings would get off to a good start as they would be doubling up the Eagles with a 9-4 opening quarter for the early lead. In the second quarter, the Eagles would start to cut into the lead of the Vikings as they would have a 10-6 quarter to give the Vikings the slight 15-14 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the second half the Eagles would come out soaring with a 12-3 quarter to take the eight-point lead of 26-18 into the fourth quarter. The Eagles would be too much in the fourth quarter as they would have a 25-11 quarter to close out the Vikings with the 51-29 victory. In the winning effort, the Eagles will advance to the New York State Final Four behind the 35-point performance of Allison O'Hannah while the Moriah Vikings season will end. Gallery

Saranac's Landen Duprey (16) and Pelham's Reid Finster (21) battle for the puck along the boards. It was the first game of the NYSPHSAA Division II semi-finals. It would feature the #11 Saranac Chiefs from Section VII making their first appearance in the final four and the Pelham Pelicans from Section I and the defending state champions. The game would start off well for the defending champs as they would score just 2:16 into the game on the powerplay goal from Will Crotty for the 1-0 Pelicans lead. The Chiefs would answer back just about halfway through the period and tie the game at one on the Landon Giroux goal. Then just over four minutes later the Pelicans would regain their one-goal lead on the goal by Reid Finster for the 2-1 game. With just about thirty seconds left in the period, the Pelicans would extend their lead to 3-1 n the Joseph Vassalotti goal. The game would stay there till the 6:41 mark of the second period when the Pelicans would score on the Daniel Mitrione goal to make it a 4-1 game. The Chiefs would keep fighting and make it a two-goal game again at the 11:00 mark of the period on the Zack O'Connell goal to make it 4-2. Although the Pelicans would come back on fire after that and score 3 goals in the final five minutes of the period to take a commanding 7-2 lead on goals from Griffin Evans twice and Chris Franchini. Then in the third period with the game in hand, the Pelicans would let up and get the other kids in the game along with the Chiefs doing the same thing although the Pelicans would get one in the last minute of the period from James Vassakotti to secure the 8-2 win. In the winning effort, the Pelicans will advance to the championship against the winner of Salmon River and Skaneateles. In the losing effort, Joey Mitchell would make 44 saves on 52 shots as they finished their season at 13-8-2. Gallery

It would be the opening round of the NYSPHSAA Class C Tournament and would feature the #1 team in the state Moriah Vikings taking on number #8 Chatham Panthers from Clinton Community College. The game would start off well for the top team in the state as the Moriah Vikings would have a 15-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the team's high pace would continue as the Panthers would cut into the lead slightly with a 10-9 quarter but the Vikings would still have the 27-19 lead as they enter the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half the tempo and pace would pick up right where it left off as the Panthers would have a 12-10 quarter to cut into the deficit a bit more as the Vikings would have the 37-31 lead as they enter the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter the Panthers would come all the way back and tie the game up at 46 and then with 1.5 seconds on the clock Drew Wemple would hit the jumper for the win. As the Chatham Panthers would pull off the upset of the #1 team in the state with the 50-46 victory and will advance to the quarterfinals and take on the #23 Canton Golden Bears. Gallery
