It would be the last regular-season home game for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they celebrate their 50th season, taking on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, in front of 1400 fans. The game would start well for the home Cardinals, as they would get a quick 1-0 lead just 1:08 into the game on Alexandro Moliner's goal. The lead would be short-lived, though, as the Thoroughbreeds would tie the game up at one just 14 seconds later on the Bryce Terry goal, and that's where the first period would end The Thoroughbreeds would take the 2-1 lead at the 12:47 mark of the Cooper Rice after the Cardinals' attempt to wrap the puck around the boards went terribly wrong when the puck bounced out front of an open net. He banged it home, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would answer quickly in the third period and tie the game at two on the Spencer Bellina goal just 1:58 into the period. The tie would be short-lived, though, as Skidmore would take the lead back just 2:20 later on Dylan Shane's goal. The Cardinals would give it everything they had down the stretch, but just had bad luck with the equalizer, and Skidmore would get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreeds, Tommy Aitken would make 45 saves as they go to 12-9-2 on the season. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return to conference play after nearly two months away, traveling to Saratoga to take on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, at the Saratoga Springs Ice Arena in front of 500 fans. The Thoroughbreds would take the 1-0 lead at the 12:22 mark of the first on the Matthew Franzoi goal. The game would stay there until the 5:44 mark of the second period, when Matthew Franzoi would get his second of the night and make it 2-0. The Cardinals would answer back 2:08 later with the shorthanded goal by Vlad Pshenichnikov and make it a 2-1 game. The Cardinals would score again 31 seconds later and tie the game at two on Riley Sutherland's goal. The game would remain tied till the 15:58 mark of the third period when the Thoroughbreds' Coleman Jenkins would score to make it 3-2. Then, in the closing seconds of the game, Tyler Fogu would add the empty netter for the Thoroughbreds and secure the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreds, Tommy Aitken would make 21 saves as they went to 6-6-2 on the season. Skidmore's Coleman Jenkins (15) puts it over the shoulder of Albertus Magnus' Matt Lenz (39) as Skidmore goes up 2-0. It would be a matchup in the New England Hockey Conference from Weibel Arena as part of the Skidmore Thoroughbreds alum weekend, as they would host the Albertus Magnus Falcons in front of just over 300 fans. The game would remain scoreless till the 12:43 mark of the first period when the Thoroughbreds would score twice in 47 seconds on goals from Stephen Perez and Coleman Jenkins for the 2-0 lead. The Thoroughbreds would add their third goal of the period when Ethan Heidepriem scored at the 17:59 mark to make it a 3-0 game, and that's where the first period would end. In the second period, the Thoroughbreds would extend their lead to 4-0 at the 14:27 mark when Evan Brown would light the lamp. The Falcons wouldn't be outdone, though, as they would get on the board 26 seconds later to make it a 4-1 game on the Paden Hicks powerplay goal, and that's how the scoring would end for the second period. In the third period, defense would be the game's name as neither team could find the net, and the Thoroughbreds would hold on for the 4-1 win. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreds, they would go to 11-10 on the season, and Joshua Seeley would make 34 saves on the afternoon as they head to the road and take on Salve Regina. It would be a match-up inside the New England Hockey Conference as the #9 Skidmore Thoroughbreds would take on the Southern Maine Huskies in front of 900 passionate fans at the Saratoga Springs Ice Rink. The home Thoroughbreds would get the opening goal of the game at the 4:42 mark of the first period when Patrick Kaeden scored at the 4:42 mark for the 1-0 lead. The Huskies would be able to get the equalizer though on the shorthand when John Hagan would light the lamp at the 8"34 mark of the period to tie the game at one and that's how the first period would end. The Thoroughbreds would be able to retake the lead at 2-1 on the Mason Beecher goal at the 5:48 mark. The lead would be short-lived as the Huskies would answer back about 90 seconds later to tie the game at two on the Jakub Suran goal. Then about three minutes later the Huskies would forge ahead and get the go-ahead goal at the 10:37 mark on the Ethan McDuffie for the 3-2 Huskies lead. The game would stay there till the 11:51 mark of the third period when Matt Sullivan would score on the Huskies powerplay to make it a 4-2 game. From there the Husky's defense would stand tall and hold on for the 4-2 upset victory over the #9 Skidmore Thoroughbreds. In the winning effort, the Huskies Mason Palmer would make 41 saves as they go to 8-12-3 on the season. For the Thoroughbreds Brandon Tate would make 23 saves as they fall to 16-5-3 on the season.
