Brian Brockway tugged the sled for all he had as he went after the win in Juggers Tugger II. The Northern New York Truck and Tractor Pullers returned to the Franklin County Fair for the second annual Shootout, bringing together some of the region's top competitors for an exciting night of pulling action. Three featured classes competed for purses of $2,000 each: Super Stock 4x4 Trucks, 2.6 Diesel Trucks, and Altered Stock Tractors. The event drew 27 hooks, with eight entries in the 2.6 Diesel Truck class, 10 Super Stock 4x4 Trucks, and nine Altered Stock Tractors. Fans packed the grandstands as competitors battled for victories and their share of the prize money. In the Altered Stock Tractor division, Insanity proved to be the class of the field. The powerful tractor laid down a winning pass of 320 feet, securing the victory over a talented lineup of competitors. The performance highlighted the strength and consistency that have made the machine a fan favorite. The Super Stock 4x4 Truck class provided plenty of drama throughout the session. With competitors pushing the limits of traction and horsepower, the outcome remained uncertain until the class's final hook. On the last run of the night, John Zak, behind the wheel of Hulk, delivered the winning performance, spectacularly earning the class championship. The 2.6 Diesel Truck class showcased a fierce battle among the Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge brands. Fans were treated to a competitive showdown as drivers fought for every inch down the track in pursuit of the top prize. The class winner not only earned bragging rights but also took home the $1,000 winner's payout after outlasting a highly competitive field. With another successful Shootout now in the books, organizers are already looking ahead. Plans are underway to make the third annual Franklin County Fair Shootout even bigger and better, building on the momentum created by another outstanding night of truck and tractor pulling competition. David Babbie and his Blue Power headed down the track in the stock tractor class. MORRISONVILLE, N.Y. — The annual Truck and Tractor Pull at the Clinton County Fair took on special meaning this year as it was renamed the Owen Poirier Shootout, honoring the memory of former Chazy Central School student Owen Poirier, whose life was lost far too soon. The event brought together pullers from across the region for a night of horsepower and fierce competition in front of a strong fair crowd. A full slate of 10 classes competed throughout the evening, featuring everything from Stock Trucks and Tractors to Hot Farm Tractors, Altered Stock Tractors, Super Stock Trucks, and Diesel Truck divisions. The featured attraction of the night was the highly anticipated 3.0 Diesel Truck Shootout, where competitors battled for the top prize of $1,500 and the honor of becoming the first-ever Owen Poirier Shootout champion. Throughout the night, fans were treated to tremendous performances as competitors pushed their machines to the limit on the Clinton County Fair track. Pull after pull kept the crowd engaged as distances climbed and the battle for victory intensified. When the dust finally settled, it was Baierlien Bones that stood above the rest. Delivering a tremendous pull of 308 feet, Baierlien Bones claimed the victory in the premier 3.0 Diesel Shootout division and took home the $1,500 winner's purse, becoming the inaugural champion of the Owen Poirier Shootout. The successful debut of the event provided a fitting tribute to Owen Poirier while showcasing some of the best truck and tractor pulling action the region has to offer. Organizers and competitors alike praised the evening's turnout and competition, and plans are already underway to make the second edition of the Owen Poirier Shootout even bigger and better in the years to come. Jonathan Zakarauskas and The Hulk take the win in the Super Stock 4x4 Trucks by 4 inches over Mad Dog to start the season. It would be the opening hook of the 2025 season for the New York State Tractor Pullers Association, and they would return to the Clinton County Fair in Plattsburgh, New York, for the first time in over 25 years. They would bring 4 of their top divisions with the Super Stock 4x4 Trucks, Modified Tractors, Super Stock Diesel, and the Limited Pro 4.1 Diesel Tractors in front of a packed house. There would be problems with the track throughout the night because the new clay laid before the fair had not had time to settle. After the first class, the New York Tractor Pullers would actually flip the track and pull in the opposite direction. The first class out of the gate would be the Super Stock 4x4 Trucks, and it would see eight of the best hook to the new clay, and when the dust settled, The Hulk and Jonathan Zakarauskas would get the win by 4 inches over Mad Dog and Todd Jarvis, and just 4.5 feet over White Lightning and Alex Otis. Then it would be the Limited Pro 4.1 Tractors, and there would be ten that would show up to start the season, and the win would go to No Common Cents without question, as he would win the class by over 15 feet on Pure Breed Red and Tyler Audet. Then next up would be the Super Stock Diesel, and they would have 11 in the class, and the win would go to the nameless Chris Komarony with a pull of 318.86 to beat out Burt Stannard and Determination by over ten feet. Then, to finish out the night, it would be the mighty Modified Tractors, and they would be bringing three of the best for the crowd, and the New Yorker and Lee Bement would get the win over Heaven Can Wait and Ken Angell by nine feet. That would end the night of pulling and the return of the New York Tractor Pullers to the Clinton County Fair. Jack Bone and the Barnyard Bully wth a pull of 274 feet that would give him a sixth-place finish in the Super Farm Tractors class The New York State Tractor Pullers would make their annual return to the Franklin County Fair to close out the week at the fair and also end a four-day stretch of pulling for the NYTPA. The NYTPA would bring six classes for the evening with the Modified Tractors, Super Stock Tractors, Super Stock Trucks, Super Farm Tractors, Limited Pro Tractors, and the Two Wheel Drive Trucks with a total of 40 entries. First out of the box would be the Super Stock Trucks and the winner would be All Bottled Up and Dan Komarony with a pull of 314 feet beating out the Mad Dog by four feet for the win. Then next up would be the would-be Limited Pro Tractors and the winner would be Roddy Burns and Blindside by just over three feet over the Udder Obsession. Then we would have the mighty Two Wheel Drive Trucks and the winner would be the Bear Express as he would put about 20 feet on the competition as the old Ken Brockman Kodiak truck lives on. Then we would have the Super Farm Tractors and the first tractor out the Addiction and Nate Williams would lay down the mark to beat and they would all come after him but Extreme Pleasure would come the closest but would still be nine feet away to give the Addiction the win. Then we would have the Modified Tractors their numbers might have been small but they were not lacking in power as one had two jet turbines and the others were both with allision aircraft engines and the jet turbines would get the win with Lee Poement and the New York. Then to finish of the evening would be the Super Stock Tractors and the win would go to Robbie Horton and the Lil Less Patience by just over foot over Lance Micek and High Hopes. The NYTPA will be back in action in just three short days as they will invade the Delaware County Fair on August 16th. Gallery

Keenan Carter and the Carter Pulling Team has a pass to reflect on as they charge down the track in the Hot Farm Tractors class. It would be the opening night of the Clinton County Fair and it would be the annual truck and tractor pull brought to you by the Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers with 12 classes and just over 50 entries ranging from Stock Truck and Tractors all the way up to the Super Stock Trucks and the Limited Pro Desiel Trucks. Full Pull would be the name of the day as there were many hooks that were over 300 feet and there was a good amount that still went over 400 feet and the best one of the day was about 510 feet. The winner of the 12 classes would be Fay Cheney (Enhanced Gas Trucks), Dawson Bourdeau (Hot Farm Tractors), Walter Cheney ( Stock StreetTrucks), Dayton Roberts (Work Trucks), Rick Abare (2.5 Desiel Trucks), Jon Babbie (9,500lb & 13,00lb Stock Tractors), Gene Chauvin (8,000lb Stock Tractors), Caniac (Two Wheel Drive Trucks), John Myers (Altered Stock Tractors), Mike Wilson (Pro Limited Desiel Trucks) and Joey Michad (Super Stock Trucks).
