SUNYAC Women's Hockey: Morrisville State Mustangs @ #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 21st 2026

Plattsburgh State's Molli Riggi (17) with the backhander in the second period as the Cardinals defeat the Mustangs 8-0. It would be the last regular-season game of the season. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Morrisville State Mustangs from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 400 fans The Cardinals would waste little time in taking control of the game as they would score three goals in the first 6 minutes of the game from Riley Keller, Sydnee Francis and Kate Conlon but the Mustangs would buckle down for the rest of the period and thats how it would end. The Cardinals would come again at the 8:19 mark of the second period, and Molly Riggi would score to extend the lead to 4-0. The Cardinals wouldn't rest, and they got one on the shorthand from Kate Conlon for the second of the game to make it 5-0 at the 14:31 mark of the period. Then, with 2:08 left in the period, the Cardinals would have their second three-goal period, thanks to Bailey MacKellar, for the 6-0 lead after tw In the third period, the Cardinals would add two more from Taya Balfour and Piper Smith as they secured the 8-0 victory and the #1 seed in the SUNYAC Women's Hockey tournament. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Maddy Stetson made 16 saves in the shutout win, as they finished the season at 18-6-2. SUNYAC Women's Hockey: Cortland State Red Dragons @ #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 20th 2026

Plattsburgh State's Zoe Puc (37) splits the defenders for the shot on net. It would be the last weekend of the regular season in SUNYAC Women's Hockey and it would be a match up of the top two teams in the league as the #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 350 fans the dared the snowstrom outside. It would take until the 14:45 mark of the first period before Kate Conlon would get the opening goal giving the Cardinals a -0 lead, and that's how the first period would end. The Cardinals would waste little time when they returned for the second period, extending their lead to 2-0 just 2:03 in on Tessa Morris' goal. Then, at the 7:53 mark of the period, the Cardinals would get the 3-0 lead when Tessa Morrisstrucke for the second time. The Cardinals would take the 3-0 lead into the third when Emily Kasprzak would score on the power play at the 12:39 mark of the period for the 4-0 lead The Red Dragons would eventually get on the board with a goal from Drew Kopek to make it 4-1 in the game Although the Cardinals would add one more with 23 seconds left from Riley Keller to gice the Cardinals the 5-1 win. NCAA Division III Women's Hockey:#4 Middlebury Panthers @ #15 Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 3rd 2026

Plattsburgh State's Bailey Mackellar (10) would have both goals on the night as the Cardinals would get the 2-1 overtime win against #4 Middlebury. It would be a battle of former national champions from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as the #4 Middlebury Panthers would travel across the lake to take on the #15 Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they both look for an important win as they look to the NCAA Tournament, with 400 fans in attendance. The game would remain scoreless through the first period as the Panthers would get the opening goal of the game at the 3:52 mark of the second period when Avery McInerny would find the back of the net and make it a 1-0 game. The game would stay there until the 12:14 mark of the period, when the Cardinals would make it 1-1 on Bailey MacKellar's goal as they crashed the net and stuffed it home. The game would stay there through the rest of regulation, as both teams would have their chances to get the go-ahead goal but not get past the goalies, who stood tall. The game would head to overtime, where Bailey MacKellar would find the back of the net as she charged down the goalie to get the 2-1 Cardinals victory. In the wCardinals' inning effort, Faddy Stetson made 14 saves as they improved to 13-6 and return to conference play on the road this weekend. SUNYAC Women's Hockey: Oswego State Lakers @ #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals January 24th 2026

Oswego State's Mia Devivio (35) with one of her 30 saves on Plattsburgh State's Ella Fessette (15) as she was trying to tie the game up. It would be the #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Oswego State Lakers from the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena, with 300 fans braving the bitter cold. The game would remain scoreless until the 7:37 mark of the second period, when the Cardinals would break through with a goal from Bailey MacKellar. The game would stay there until the 5:31 mark of the third period, when Lakers Georgia Cunliffe would score a top-shelfer to tie the game at 1. Then at the 11:33 mark of the third, the Lakers would score to take the 2-1 lead on the Kayla Doerre goal. The Cardinals would have their chances down the stretch to get the equalizer, but would have none, and the Lakers would get the 2-1 upset victory. In the winning effort, the Lakers' Mia Devivomadee made 30 saves as they went to 10-7 on the season. As for the Cardinals, Maddy Stetson made 19 saves as they fell to 10-6 on the season, heading into a pair of games next weekend with North Country foe Potsdam State. Gallery

SUNYAC Women's Hockey: Canton Kangaroos @ #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals January 23rd 2026

Canton's Molly Lenihan (33) with the save of the scramble play in front of the net as part of a 39-save effort. The #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would start their weekend SUNYAC homestand with fellow North Country member, the Canton Kangaroos, in front of 300 fans at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The game would be tough for the Cardinal offense and the Kangaroos defense, as the Cardinals would put 40 shots on net but be able only to get 1 by Canton's Molly Lenihan, as Piper Smith would get the lone goal for the Cardinals at the 15:31 mark of the third period, as they would get the 1-0 victory. In the Cardinals' winning effort, Chloe Lewis made 17 saves for the shutout, as they go to 10-5 on the season, while Canton falls to 9-6-1. NCAA Women's Hockey: Suffolk Rams @ #15 Plattsburgh State Cardinals January 17th 2026

Suffolk's Ava Buckley (7) with the top shelf netter on Plattsburgh State's Chloe Lewis (30) as it gets the Rams within three. It would be the second game of the weekend series between the #15 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Suffolk Rams from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 350 fans. The Rams scored the opening goal at the 5:28 mark from Katie Newkirk. From there the Cardinals woud go on a tare scoring 5 goals in the next 11 minutes coming from Riley Keller, Sydnee Francis, Molly Riggi, Emily Kasprzak and Taya Balfour to give the Cardinals the 5-1 lead after the first, In the second perriod the Cardinals would keep it coming and score at the 4:07 mark for Emily Kasprzak second of the game and make it a 6-1 game. The Rams answered back at the 7:05 and 11:50 marks of the second period from Bella Schmidt and Ava Buckley to make it a 6-3 game. The Cardinals would have another answer at the 17:55 mark from Kate Conlon to make it a 7-3 game, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would add one more in the third period from Piper Smith, as they cruised to an 8-3 win. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Chloe Lewis would make 8 saves on the night as they go to 9-5-1 as they head back into conference play. As for the Ram,s Katelyn Michals would make 50 saves as they go to 5-9-1 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Women's Hockey: Suffolk Rams @ #15 Plattsburgh State Cardinals January 16th 2026

Plattsburgh State's Emily Kasprzak (22) with the clean open ice hit on Suffolk's Julia Holmes in the open ice as they go after the puck. The #15 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return to the Ronald Stafford Ice Arena for the first time in two months with a non-conference tilt against the Suffolk Rams in front of 300 fans. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:12 mark of the first period when Zoe Puc would find the back of the nnetfor the 1-0 lead. The Rams would fight back and tie the game at the 11:40 mark of the period, when Bella Schmidt scored to make it a-1 The Cardinals would come back and regain the lead at 2-1 on a power-play goal by Seeyoung Yoo at the 17:30 mark of the first. In the second period, the Cardinals would get the lone goal of the period at the 11:34 mark when Kayson Ruegge scored a shorthanded marker to make it 3- The game would stay there till the 10:06 mark of the third when Kayson Ruegge would net her second of the game to increase the lead to 4-1 Then just a minute later Brooke Terry would score for the Cardinals to make it a 5-1 game. The Cardinals ended their three-minute blitz with a goal from Emily Kasprzak to make it 6-1, and they would cruise to the win. In the Cardinals' winning effort, Chloe Lewis made 14 saves as they went to 8-5 on the season.
